4. General Rules & Conduct
4.1 Code of Conduct:
All participants must exhibit good sportsmanship and respect towards officials, other racers, and the community.
Behavior deemed disruptive, abusive, harassing, or detrimental to the event (in-game, on Discord, or other platforms) is prohibited and may result in penalties.
Maintain professionalism during official event times and communications. Follow the ATMO Esports Discord rules.
Cheating, hacking, exploiting game bugs for unfair advantage, or using unauthorized third-party software is strictly forbidden and will result in immediate disqualification and potential bans from future ATMO Esports events. Report any suspected cheating or exploits to officials immediately.
4.2 Official Authority:
Race Officials (identified by specific Discord roles/in-game tags) are the final authority on all rule interpretations, penalties, and race procedures during the event.
Participants MUST follow all instructions from Race Officials promptly. Failure to comply may result in penalties.
Officials have the discretion to handle unforeseen circumstances or issues not explicitly covered in this rulebook to ensure fair competition.
4.3 Registration & Eligibility:
Participants must register via the official signup process (includingSCR.gg qualifier submission).
Must have a valid Star Citizen account in good standing.
Must join the official ATMO Esports Discord server
Must be able to communicate (a minimum: listen, with responding to officials over text or speech required) in the designated Discord voice channels during races
Must have access to SCR.gg for qualifier and race synchronization and access to SCR’s proprietary Pit Crew Tool.
4.4 Ship & Equipment:
Racers must use the ships specified for each round (Chosen Ship or Aurora). Using a non-approved ship will result in race/round disqualification.
Liveries (including livery-only variants such as the Mustang Omega and P-72 Archimedes Emerald) are allowed.
Equipped ship components are unrestricted unless specified otherwise by officials (e.g., due to game-breaking bugs). All ships must be intact (not missing pieces due to damage) at the start of each race.
4.5 POV Streaming:
For all races, racers must stream their race POV to Atmo’s broadcast team, with OBS (Open Broadcast Software) using the settings provided by Atmo for that purpose.
Racers not providing a POV stream may not be permitted to race.
5. Race Procedures
5.1 Pre-Race:
Attend mandatory pre-event/pre-round briefings in Atmo Discord.
Ensure your game client is updated.
PU Races: Have a Level 0 Crimestat. Set respawn location to the designated area (e.g., Levski for Semis and Finals). Be logged out at the event location prior to invites.
Group Stage: Racers are expected to arrive on-time for their scheduled races, at the call time for their group provided in advance by race direction.
Join the correct Discord voice channel and game lobby/party as instructed by officials.
5.2 Race Start:
AC: Racers will be positioned on a starting grid by officials. Remain stationary until the start signal.
PU: Racers will be directed to starting positions. Maintain assigned position and minimum spacing (e.g., 150m) as directed. Remain stationary.
Officials will provide a countdown (e.g., "30 seconds to green," followed by a synchronized audio cue via Discord/SCR Pit Crew tool).
False starts (moving before the signal), or “holding on the line” (not moving after the start signal) will result in penalties.
Comms must remain clear during the start sequence and race, except for essential communication - calling out "Pilot Name DNF" or responding to officials).
5.3 During Race:
Complete the designated number of laps, passing through all required checkpoints/gates in the correct order.
Track Limits: Stay within the defined boundaries of the race track. Boundaries are marked by gates, natural terrain features, or as specified by officials. Intentional or repeated track cutting for advantage will be penalized. Accidental off-track excursions require safe re-entry at the point the track was exited, without gaining position.
Collisions: Avoid intentional contact with other racers. While minor racing incidents can occur, deliberate ramming or aggressive actions causing collisions will result in penalties.
Respawn/DNF: Crashing or being destroyed results in a DNF (“Did Not Finish”) for that race. Racers who are unable to continue racing or do not wish to continue racing must promptly announce “[Pilot name], DNF” to race officials. In Arena Commander races, racers must exit the track safely and immediately after respawning.
Server/Game Issues: In case of major server crashes (e.g., 30k) or game-breaking bugs affecting multiple racers unfairly, officials may decide to pause, restart, or nullify the race.

Disputes must be submitted formally via Discord to the designated Race Officials within 30 minutes after the race concludes. Video evidence must be submitted within 24 hours after the race concludes.
Video evidence of the incident from the reporter's perspective is required.
Officials will review the evidence and relevant perspectives. The decision of the review panel is final. Frivolous or excessive disputes may be penalized.
7. Alpha Disclaimer
Star Citizen is an alpha-stage game. Bugs, performance issues, and unexpected behaviors are possible.
ATMO Esports and its officials will strive for fairness but may need to make adaptive rulings based on the game's state.
